Preventing Mold Growth In Your Home

It can sneak up on you when you least expect it. It seems harmless because it is so small, but this microscopic thing packs a mean punch. It can be found both indoors and outdoors. In the wild, it does not pose much of a health risk because it is part of the decaying process. It is even used in the process and development of certain foods, such as cheese, and used to create Penicillin, a widely-used antibiotic utilized in the treatment of bacterial infections. As if maintaining a clean appearance is not enough, you have to be weary of mold growth, which can occur at any time. All a mold spore needs is just the right amount of moisture to thrive.

Protecting your food from developing mold is simple. Any fresh or cut fruits and vegetables that are stored in the fridge should be covered with plastic wrap or stored in an airtight container.
